Opening Day Regatta is on February 23.  Below
is all the information pertaining to the race.

If you are not staying at a hotel the night before please let your
coach know.  All rowers need to be at the venue by 7:30 am to rig and
attend the coxswains meeting

Directions:
Take I-75 South to the turnpike exit
Turnpike south to the 528/Bee Line Expressway
528 east to I-95
I-95 south to exit 176 (Palm Bay Rd/ 516)
East on Palm Bay Rd/516 to Babcock St
south on Babcock St to the Canal 54 park

The trip from Gainesville to the canal is between 3.5-4 hrs

There is plenty of parking on site and is $5.00 per vehicle, I suggest
carpooling to save on parking costs.

Coaches/coxswains meeting is at approximately 7:50-8 am

This race is a Henley-style regatta.  The race course is 1500m.  Each
heat has only 2 boats; the winner advances and the loser does not.

11:26 am MV8

depending on the outcome of your first race, you will race either once
or twice more that day with semis and  finals as follows:

Bring snacks for breakfast and money  for dinner.  If there is enough
interest after the race we may
eat somewhere before leaving Palm Bay-Melbourne-Fellsmere.
