Gainesville Area Rowing offers an Adult Rowing Program
called GAR Masters. Masters are adults 22+ who row competitively and recreationally.
Adults who are between 18-22 are considered college rowers, but can
row with the masters recreationally. Many people new to the
sport do not realize the word "master" refers only to the age of the
rower and is not an indication of ones rowing prowess.

is all about. Rowing can be a lifelong pursuit; it is easy on
the joints, adaptable to many body sizes and levels of athletic
skill, and the Florida climate is ideal for year-round
participation.
